Closing Out January and Preparing for a New Month

It’s hard to believe that today is the January 30, not quite the last day of this month but, for most, it is work-wise.

If you haven’t already, now is a great time to review how this month has gone – what worked and well, what didn’t work and why, did you meet your set goal; if not, what stood in your way (finances, the market, other people, mindset); are those goals still important – if not, either shelve them for now or get rid of them; what new goals do you want to fulfill in February and how committed are you to this process.

These are all great self-assessment questions that will get – and keep – you in forward motion. Once you’ve answered these questions, now you can formulate a plan, which should include how you plan to make them happen. One of the most important ‘ingredients’ is your mindset as this will drive you forward and keep your motivation high. Don’t go into February on a ‘wing and a prayer; take control and see how much you can get done by the end of February (and March, April, etc.).
